Engineer (ASCE Grade III)

For a structural engineering firm (Larsen & Landis, Inc. – Philadelphia, PA): conduct comprehensive analysis and design of gravity and lateral force resisting systems and foundations for building projects; utilize AutoCAD and Revit proficiently to generate accurate structural construction documents; perform calculations to determine building loads, including dead, live, wind, and seismic loads; coordinate closely with architects to align structural requirements with overall project goals; and review shop drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and engineering standards.

Requirements:

1.     Bachelor of Science or foreign equivalent degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

2.     2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of structural engineering experience. The required experience must include design and drafting of houses and buildings in wood frame construction, steel, concrete.

3.     Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Enercalc, Risa Building Systems and Excel.

4.     Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (NDS, ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, IBC, IRC).

5.     EIT - engineering in training certificate.

Work Location: Philadelphia, PA.

Hours: 40 per week - Monday through Friday.
